I have been advised to have all of my teeth removed and replaced with dentures, are there any other options?

Q. I have recently been to my Dentist and had to have yet another tooth taken out due to Gum Disease. My Dentist as adviced me to have all my teeth taken out and Dentures fitted. I really dont like the idea of wearing Dentures as I do Karate and cant stand my mouth guard in my mouth as it makes me wrench. What are my options? I have thought of implants but they seem to be many different types. which would be the best for me? Can I have implants if I have Gum Disease? Thank you.,
A. I really need to take a look before i can advise, I would strongly advise a consultaton with a Periodontist (gum specialist)before you have any further teeth taken out as there could be treatments to save your remaining teeth and then consider implants for the teeth you have lost. I can offer you a free consultaion with our Periodontist. Please feel free to contact the clinic on 0161 832 9477 or e-mail [email protected]
