I have a split root on a tooth after extraction would bridging be the best option?

Q. I have a split root on a tooth which is second from the back of my lower jaw left hand side (already has a crown) I have been told this needs to extracted? In addition, the end tooth next to it needs a crown. After the extraction would bridging be best for the end tooth to have the bridge and cover the tooth next to it? Also could this be covered by a NHS dentist?

A. A bridge can be placed if there are teeth either side of the potential gap and thise teeth are of good enough health to support a bridge.  The NHS question you will have to raise with your dentist
