i have a gaps in my teeth whether wearing braces would correct this is does it sound right

Q. Hello, I have a question to do with gaps in teeth. At age 14 I had two teeth removed on each side (upper) to push back my teeth and wore braces for a while. Unfortunately I didn’t wear the braces for long enough and have ended up with gaps that are probably to big for veneers but I’m not sure, however I’m sure that they are certainly too small to warrant the work needed for a bridge. Also I do have a significant gap between my lower and upper jaw when I bite – I have been told by my dentist that wearing braces woud correct this and essentially help bring my lower jaw forward – does this sound feasible? Your response would be very much appreciated.

A. Orthodontics is a good way of correcting any bite or gaps. I would recommend that you talk through your concerns with your regular dentist, who can offer their own opinion- or alternatively, attend a consultaion at an orthodontic or cosmetic dental practice.
