I had undergone crown replacement recently after which sensitivity persists
Q. I recently had a crown replaced. It has been almost 5 weeks know and I feel sensativity to the crown. Should I wait longer for it to go away or is there something wrong. When the crown was first fitted, I felt as if I was biting a small seed. Dr. grinded until it went away. I thought the crown should be made to fit and not come back with that bump. Please advice.
A. We do try and make crowns that require no adjustment at the fit stage but it si not uncommon for some bite adjustment to be made – you can feel a bite difference of 0.020 mm !! You may need further adjustments to allow the crown to settle.
