I had braces to straighten and reduce my overbite

Q. Hi, Hope you can help. Basically i had braces on for approx 14 months to straighten and reduce overbite. I have never been happy with the outcome , although they do appear straighter my main concern was the overbite. I wouldnt say its really bad but again self confidence is a issue for me . I am actually due to have these back on Next week but i am considering going away for a few months next year. Im unsure what to do as i feel maybe my dentist is rubbing his hands of me (i paid private) he now tells me i will have to get 2 teeth taken out which he should have done at the start as he did mention it then. I basically would like to know if veneers would work in this instance. it just puzzles me as to how this work if my gum structure is this way. I was even once told by a dentist that it could be my jaw and there is a procdure eg having your jaw broken. But i would not do this. In the case that it i veneers do you have a approx price and how soon i could get in to have this done? as i should be leaving to go overseas in Jan. Thank you .

A. January is fine for timescale. The question is what veneers will achieve in your case. I would be happy to do a free assesment at the StJohns Dental Practice, Birmingham City Centre. It is about 200yds from New Street train staion. Contact us on 0121 643 0610

If veneers are suitable we would do a computer and study cast simulation of the treatment. This way you tell us if you are happy with the likely result before treatment begins ( unlike the previous experience )

A typical 6 veneer case costs £2500-3600 depending on the system used. All are excellent, it is more down to maximising the strengths of a system to your case (higher cost is not necessarily best result)
