I Had A Tooth Removed And Braces For 2/3 Years. Now, Whenever I Smile, It Doesn’t Look Normal. What Can Be Done?

Q.
Hello there! I am currently a student and for probably 8 years of my life I have had a lot of dental care due to having an extra tooth on top of my front tooth which prevented my front tooth to come down. This resulted to having an operation to remove the extra tooth which meant that the original front tooth was knocked out of the pathway. The dentist then attached a gold chain to that front tooth and pulled the tooth down over the course of 2/3 years. This is when I received braces for a good 2/3 years. This resulted to my gum being extended after the tooth came down so when I smile it doesn’t look normal at all. I wanted to have veneers done but I wanted to know how much it would be overall to sort out my gum and replace my tooth because it is still slanted. Thank you very much!

Hi and thanks for your questions. It’s impossible to answer without seeing the situation I’m afraid. Can you send in a photo maybe? [email protected] . Prices differ from case to case so I would need to see your dental condition to determine this with any degree of accuracy. Regards, Mark.
