i am uncomfortable with my top left tooth and it is slightly wobbly do you have any idea?

Q. For about 5 days one of my top left teeth has been feeling uncomfortable, the gum is tender and im sure the tooth is slightly wobbly. I feel as though i cant put any pressure on it, and i cant chew with it. Im terrified its going to fall out. Im only 20 and really dont want a hole where a tooth should be! It just seemed to happen all of a sudden. Im petrified of going to the dentist, the smell of the latex gloves is enough to make me gag. Do you have an idea of what it could be?

A. It sounds as though you have a localised gum infection around the tooth in question. You need to go to the dentist and have it assessed. The quicker the problem is sorted, the more likely you are in saving the tooth. Good luck.
