I am moving to the USA for university can I still have my surgery done in the UK as a British Citizen?

Q. Hello, I have a 2mm underbite and have consulted with an orthodontist about getting braces and then a surgery to bring my upper jaw forward and my lower jaw backward. She agreed there is a need for surgery. However, I have just found out that I will be moving to USA for university but obviously as a UK resident. I am aware that I would have to pay for my braces there but as I am still a British citizen would I be able to have my surgery done over here if my orthodontist abroad and my surgeon here consult each other regularly about my progress?,
A. You could ask, they may be able to liase together , speak to both sets of doctors to make the right plan.
