i am interested in whitening my teeth

Q. Hello, i am interested in whitening my teeth however have been advised that this is not appropriate for smokers?, i.e. once whitened the effects of smoking will create further blotches?, is this correct?

A. Not strictly speaking, however the bleach does make the enamel slightly more porous therefore if you do undergo whitening then it is best to refrain from smoking, drinking red wine etc
