I am going to have veneers but will they need to be replace in the future?

Q. Hi Dr Patel I a 30 years old and I have decided to have veneers fitted on my 6 front teeth, due to severe wear and acid erosion which have affected my smile. My dentist told me I will need so called taco shell veneers as there is extensive wear on the back of my front teeth as well. I trust my dentist but I am concerned about the fact that he is going to have to file down my teeth even more now. My smile isn’t great but the teeth are still more or less intact at present. Am I making a mistake? I understand veneers have a life time of 5-10 years. Given that I am only 30 years old, is it possible to repeat the procedure again in the future or would I have to resort to crowns, once the veneers have reached their life span? I am concerned about the fact that I might have a mouth full of crowns by the time I am 40 or so. Many thanks in advance for your opinion.,
A. It is true that your veneers will need to be replaced in the future, as you have already lost a lot of tooth you want your teeth to be reduced as little as possible.
