How would veneers affect my natural teeth?

Q.
Hello,

I’m currently looking into veneers. How would this effect my natural teeth? Are they just glued on top of your natural teeth or do your teeth get filed down? Also, are they permanant and can you remove them? I would appreciate any help you can give me on this subject. Also, how much generally are they??

Thanks

A.
Hi, Thanks for writing in. As to whether or not you need your teeth altered to receive veneers, well that depends on what you’re trying to achieve and what your teeth are like in the first place. Sometimes we don’t have to adjust at all and sometimes we do, quite heavily, although this is something we try to avoid if possible in my practices.

The only way to answer your questions accurately would be to see you in person, examine your teeth and gums and look at your bite.

A consultation with myself of another experienced cosmetic dentist is your next step

Kind regards

Mark
