How can I ge my teeth and fillings the same colour?

Q.
Hi,
I’m wondering if I will be able to get my teeth to a universal colour after having had some work done whilst I was a smoker.

I had some enamel and filling work done on my teeth about a year ago when I was a 20-a-day smoker, the new enamel was coloured to fit in with the colour of my teeth at the time. Now that I’ve given up, my teeth are getting whiter as I clean them with whitening toothpaste, but the parts that were filled remain in keeping with smoker’s teeth.

I have also just had a crown fitted too.

So, what I’m curious about is whether my teeth can be whitened safely (I also have quite thin enamel, also I’m using toothpaste to help this) so as to be a consistent colour all over.

I hope I’ve explained it correctly.

Any whitening procedure carried out by a dentist should be perfectly safe. If you have had existing fillings in your front teeth, they will not whiten like the rest of your teeth and they will require repalcement to match the final colour of your whitened teeth.
