Does NHS do teeth straightening?

Q. Hello Doctor, I was wondering if i could get any treatment for my teeth on the NHS, or any special funding. the problem is not major, just for the top row of teeth need straightening. i am 18 and still in full time education at college. I did originally start treatment with an orthodontist using retainers when i was 13 but this treatment was halted as we had problems with the orthodontist. So i would appreciate it if you could provide some information. Many Thanks,

A. You could try to speak to speak to your nhs dentist and see if he/ she can refer you to an orthodontist.  It is hard to get NHS treatment unless your condition is severe.

Hello, I’m 18 years old and in Full time education not working. Would it still possible to get my teeth straitened, because I’m really ashamed of my smile and would it cost me to do them?
