does composite bonding ruin your enamel forever

Q. I want to thank you for answering my question so quickly..however when you said tooth bonding is reversible..did you mean that I could go back to my natural teeth? I heard that the acid solution they paint on your teeth before they apply the composite bonding ruins your enamel forever…and you could never go back. Is this true? Please tell me it’s not true!

A. Hi
the acid solution is milder thaqn lemon juice,
your source is mistaken , just scaremongering tactics im afraid

Hi, I vaguely remember a previous dentist talking about ‘surface fillings’ that cost about C2A350. I have some enamel damage on the fronts of my teeth as a result of braces and just generally wear. So I was wondering if this is something you offer and how much it might cost for one canine tooth? Thanks

I have a few fillings and my teeth have become very sensitive and discloured since whilst I was pregnant, I have very thin layer of enamel . Is it still possible to have them bleached ? And what are the prices, Kind regards

I’m currently a 2nd year dental student. I have some doubts regarding the types of composite used to adhere tooth jewelry to the enamel. Do dentist usually use glass ionomer cement or composite resin? What about for home DIY jewelry kits? Do they supply GIC in the kit as well? What are the alternatives used to make the tooth jewelry if the patient do not want real diamonds?
