Q. Hello Dr Patel I have just watched you talking on your web site and what you were saying about a smile giving confidence that wasn’t there before is exactly how I feel. I have had extensive dental treatment from a young age as all of my second teeth came though without any enamel on due to Tetracycline as a baby. I now have an upper front bridge of six teeth as at 16 years of age I could not stand the embarresment of my smile any longer and asked my dentist at the time to take my front teeth out and I wore a denture for many years. The rest of my teeth are crowned which has obviously been very expensive over the years. After all this, I am still really unhappy with my smile as the bridge which has been in place for 10 years now does not look even when I smile and I think it looks to small for my mouth, hence I still keep my mouth shut when I smile. I constantly find myself concentrating on celebrity smiles and envy their look so much. I cannot afford extensive treatment which the celebrities have although over the years I have paid thousands of pounds for the work I have had done and wondered if you knew anywhere in the North East of England that participates in the donated smiles as shown on the gallery of smiles on this website. You say on your video you have made many contacts over the years. I would love to be able to come to you as I was so impressed watching your video but obviously that is not practical as I work full time and live in Guisborough, Cleveland. I hope you do not think I am too cheeky asking your advice about this, I just envy those smiles so much! With kind regards.
