Do veneers provoke any problems to the teeth or gums

Q. Hi! Do veneers provoke any problems to the teeth or gums? thank you

A. Veneers can ( as any restorative dentistry) effect the nerves inside the teeth and irritate the gums if the fit around the edge of the veneers is not perfect.  Well made veneers will fit extremely well and in my experience the opposite is true- the gums become very healthy.

hello dr julian
i had veneers fitted about 2 months ago and i experience consistant pain in my lower gums. the pain seems to be underneath the teeth. my teeth hurt when i eat, i cannot bear very hot or very cold food as my teeth are sensitive and permanently ‘on edge’. also some of the bottom teeth seem just a little bit loose.
is there any danger that i will lose my teeth?
with thanks
