Dentist told me there is not enough bone for implants – is this true?

Q. i been to a dentist to have implants he said i havent got enough bone and it might effect my sinex he said my upper jaw bone is like egg shell is there anything can be done so i dont wear dentures it gives me problem eating,
A. Thanks for your questions, when patients come to see me for implant treatment, and I feel that the there is not enough bone to place the implants, there is the option of a bone graft. This procedure can be carried out using artificial bone which is then allowed to integrate before implants can usually be placed.Kind RegardsDr Kailesh Solanki
