could my teeth be moving even with the retainer on?

Q. I have had a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth for about 3 months. Yesterday I noticed my teeth hurting like they did when I had braces and they were moving. The pain has continued into today. Nothing seems out of place or broken but the pain concerns me. Could my teeth be moving even with the retainer on? Thanks for your help!

A. It is possible the retainer is loose on one tooth, See your dentist today to check it out

Two week ago I had my braces off ( I never had a braces as a child, I had them in my early 30s) and I have a retainers now. I wear my retainers directly as instructed ( more then 22 hours a day). But I noticed today couple of my teeth moved and don’t look straight as with the braces . How is this possible and do I have to put braces back? I didn’t talk to my doctor yes, but I am almost ready to cry, because I do everything as I am told by doctor, so don’t understand why this is happening.
