Could my mouth be so sensitive because I had so many fillings at once?

Q. On February 27, 2010 I went to my dentist and have 5 composite fillings done on my right side three on top two on the bottom. He said I had one that was deeper than he thought and he put some lime stuff to reduce sensitivity, and on and off I have had sensitivity to mostly cold. Here in the past couple of days I have needed advil to help with the pain. He said I was no where near needing any root canals (as those are a huge fear for me, Im scared of mouth pain) I have to take valium to get fillings done. When he did the other side I had the same thing, but I only had three fillings, after time passed, it went away. Could this be because I had so many fillings done at once, or could there be something else causing this, Im the biggest chicken there is when it comes to the dentist. What should I do? Please help, Im freaking out here. Mary Wells,
A. it sounds like normal post op sensitivity after moderately deep fillings. Keep seeing your dentist so that he spots things that need doing before they get too deep
