Cost of treatment that involves gum being cut away to make teeth bigger?

Q. I was told a couple of years ago that i could get something done where they can cut some of the gum off of the top of my teeth so they look bigger. do you know about how much that would cost and where i could get it done. Is it painful?,
A. This sounds like crown lengthening. Costs vary from a few pounds for simple surgery to over £500 for more complex cases. It is all done under a local anaesthetic so won’t be painful, there will be some discomfort afterwards for 3-4 days

Without seeing I can’t really tell but ask your periodontist for advice as it might mean some more minor surgery

Crown lengthening is surgery to increase the length of a tooth usually by removing the gum and / or bone to improve the cosmetic appearance of teeth or help retain a crown. I had it done last year and it made a huge difference. Bets to speak to a cosmetic dentist.
