Is there anyway I can get treatment to replace veneers on NHS?

Hi, my name is Ruksana and i had my 2 top front teeth veneers put in over 20 years ago when i was 15yrs old on the NHS , as time has gone by they hav been chipped, discoloured and may need replacing, when i approached my dentist about it , she turned round and said its cosmetic therefore i would have to pay for them, it would therefore cost me £500, is there anyway i could have it done on the NHS??,

I have not been to dentist in years but want braces and whitening?

Basically im 19 years old , and i havnt really taken care of my teeth as i should of and i regret it badly now. I was ment to get braces couple of years ago but i never went. I really want to get my teeth straightened up and whitened now and i dunno wat is best way to go about this and how much this will cost ? thanks !,

Can I get after treatment for dental treatment abroad in UK?

Dear Dr.Safeer, In continuance to recent search about invisalign (transparent braces), I need some information and guidance. As you are aware the cost of dentistry is comparatively expensive, I am intending to get it placed from abroad. I understand it needs aftermath treatments as well, in the case of putting them from abroad, would it be possible to carry out weekly/monthly consultation here in UK. What qualifications are needed to become a dentist?

HI, it would be brilliant if you would answer this question. I am currently studying my GCSE’s and have wanted to persue a career in dentistry for a very long time. I am determined to get there but I am confused about what A levels are needed to do this. I understand that A level chemistry and Biology is a must, but I have recently Chosen my Alevels and i’d Like to know whether a maths a level is really necessary? I have not chosen this as my alevel because I didn’t think I could achieve an a or b in it. At gcse I manage to get a C-B and Will try hard to get a B in my following exams. So I have chosen Chemistry, Biology English(language and litreture) and phycology for my A levels. is this suitable for a cource in dentistry. I am hoping to get 8A*’s a few A’s and one b in maths, so what do you think! Please get back as soon as possible because I am tryingmy best to become a sucsesful dentist!,

What can be done to stop gingivitis from receding gums?

Should I stay with NHS dentist for crown treatment or go private?

I am registered with an n.h.s. dentist who is practicing in a verymodern surgery. I am considering having my front crowns replaced (maybe 6) after about 20yrs. He has quoted me £400 each for Procera replacements which will obviously be private treatment. What I would like to ask is would I get better results if I went to a private dentist or is he just as qualified even though an n.h.s. dentist. Does being an n.h.s.dentist mean he’s not competent enough to be in private practice yet because I don’t want him practising on me. Thanks in anticipation of reply.,

Can braces fix my teeth?

Hi, I am very self concious about my crooked teeth. I had a brace when I was about 17 (now 35) but my teeth have moved an awful lot since then (wisdom teeth came through) so feel I’m back to square one. The problem, when I was 17, was I had a ‘fang’ (as I called it) that grew sort of in front of another tooth at the front, it was quite high above the line of the rest of my teeth. The tooth at the back was extracted and the fang was brought down with the brace. Now it looks horrible again, it sits further forward than the rest of my teeth and also I feel the gum has receeded slightly (its sensitive if anything sweet gets around the top of the tooth). I’m worried it will need extracting?? I’m so sorry to ramble on, I would love to get my teeth straightened again because I’ve been so unhappy for years. I really hope your able to reassure me. Dentists did filing but this has caused tooth gap – any help?

i had the same problem my front teeth overlapped too it was a very minor overlap i went to an orthodontist and he recommended some sort of retainer thing and he filed my overlapping tooth down bc he said that my tooth had no space to move so thats why he had filed it down ! but when he filled it down it just made my prob worst 🙁 bc now it looks like a have a gap in between my teeth 🙁 but its been 3 weeks that i wore the retainer i wear it all the time like he said but my teeth have NOT moved ! it still looks like a gap 🙁 what can i do? help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!please,
