Hi, I am 30 years old and my dentist has told me that I really could do with having a brace fitting to prevent future damage to my teeth. He has quoted £3000 for the work but I was wondering as he said its prevent future damage could this be classed as a medical need and be covered on the NHS? Thanks in advance :-),

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010
Q.
hi, Im 328 years old and have 2 issues that are really bugging me. I have a front tooth that is pushed backward and my gum on the bottom of my mouth is receeding exposing one of my front teeth at the base. I smoke but my teeth on the whole are very good but this is really knocking my confidence. Appx how much as a working individual am i looking to pay to get these confidence/health issues sorted and would i have to wear a brace to have my tooth straigtened? it sounds mad but id really like/need a quick fix. thank you for your time.

My midline and my bite are off centre and I can’t afford metal braces. What is the next best thing?

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010
Q.
hi, my teeth are in a bad way. when i was younger my baby teeth werent coming out and my adult teeth were begining to grow on top of them, so i had a mass extraction of my teeth but unfortunately they left an extra tooth in the top arch making my teeth shift to the right and an extra tooth in the bottom arch making them shift left. the result is my midline is off and so is my bite. I cant afford metal braces but that is what has been recommended. what is the next best thing?,
