I would like to know the pros and cons of having vaneers inman aligner and invisible braces

Q.
Dear Dr Moore, I am 33 years old and am thinking about having cosmetic dental treatment. When i was a teenager, I wore every conceivable brace possible. However, the braces didn’t really do me any good and I still have some overcrowding on my front teeth (top and bottom). I am confused about what type of treatment to go for and am fearful that braces may not work. I have been looking into cosmetic dentistry and would like to know the pros and cons of having vaneers and/or Inman aligner and invisible braces. If I go for the Inman aligner – are the results generally quite good? Also, can you recommend a well respected dentist in Bristol? I would be really greatful to know your honest opinion. Regards

Ive crooked teeth could you recommend a treatment that is more affordable than invisalign

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009
Q.
Hi there, I’ve always had crooked top teeth (top front two are slightly further forward the the ones next to them and the canines are quite high and prominent) and one of my lower front teeth is set back – I’m desperate to get something done. My dentist recommended invisalign but I just can’t get my hands on the cash!! Can you recommend a treatment that is more affordable (but not visible) or where I could pay in installments? My teeth are really affecting my life – my smile is awful and I’m really conscious of it. Many thanks.

Q.
Hi, I’ve just had my first set of invisalign a day ago. What is best way of removing them and putting them on again? I find they hurt when I take them off (not too bad when I put them back on). Can you also, drink tea (with no sugar) with the aligners on? Thanks

A couple of front teeth is slightly overlapping which one is the better solution veneers or invisalign

Thursday, May 21st, 2009
Q.
Hi Andrew, I have a couple of front teeth that slightly overlap. Four are rough edged at the bottom and they are not even in length. I have 6 teeth filled with white filler (not sure of technical term) due to damaged caused by brushing and other means. People say I have beautiful teeth – they’re pretty white due to having bleached them in the past. However, I think they could look better. Do you think that veneers would be too expensive for the little change I require? Would Invisalign be a better solution for me? Maybe you may have other ideas? Thank you for your time.

can lumineers cause smelly gums halitosis and gum disease is this true? how can i prevent it?

Saturday, May 16th, 2009
Q.
I have been using Crest Pro-Health mouthwash for a month. I have noticed bad brown stains on my teeth. Yesterday, I had Lumineers placed on top of my stained teeth, not realizing that Crest Pro-health was causing this problem until I read a blog of others having the same problem. I have also used this mouthwash, today, the day after getting my Lumineers. Is it going to stain the Lumineers,or is it okay to use with the lumineers? My concern is, since I have gotten Lumineers placed on top of the brown teeth instead of getting the stains removed first, will my real teeth become damaged underneath. What do you suggest I do? Also, please tell me how does the natural teeth underneath the lumineers stay healthy? I have been reading horror stories that Lumineers can cause smelly gums, halitosis, and gum disease…Is this true? How can you prevent these problems if you now have lumineers?

i am tempted to go for inman against invisalign as it offers faster results is inman a good option

Monday, May 11th, 2009
Q.
Hi I’ve just been to see my dentist who has recommended either the Inman or Invisalign braces to straighten my teeth. I am tempted to go for the Inman as it offers much faster results, but are the results as good for the Inman as they are for the Invisalign? Bearing in mind that I’m not overly concerned about whether the braces are invisible or not, would the Inman be a good option?
