Two dentists gave me different recommendations (Invisalign & Veneers) but can I have bonding instead?

Monday, September 20th, 2010
Q.
I have been to see two cosmetic dentists and both have recommended different treatments. Veneers and invisalign to correct the gap in my teeth. I do have a slight overbite too. My preferred option would be to get a white cosmetic bonding for now too correct the gap and save for say one of the other products. Is this possibe? Or once the bonding is in is that it?,

Can you have tooth bonding done under anaesthetic?

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010
Q.
My front 3 teeth which have been worked on before have become gappy quite badly so,I can’t seem to find out a great deal about tooth bonding online but wondered if there would be a likelihood they could be bonded without anaesthetic ? I don’t have a great fear of the dentist however I loathe being jagged at the front of the mouth and have put off going to see the dentist about this for around a year.,

How can I get rid of the gap in my teeth?

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010
Q.
Hello Im 33 years old, I have a large gap between my top front teeth, (half a centimetre) which Ive had since I was a child, most of the women in my family have it. I hate it & in recent years it has really affected my confidence & made me feel very self conscious, to the point of sometimes I dont go out when it really gets me down. I lost a tooth a couple of years ago and since then the gap has gotten bigger also. What methods are there to get rid of this? I should mention Im pretrified of the dentist. Ive read about bonding, what is it exactly? Could I have the gap filled with gold filling? Or I was thinking even something like putting a jewel in the gap but I cant find a dentist who can do that. My aunt had veneers but the gap was so big her front teeth look too big now. Regards,

I would like a full smile that doesn’t require metal braces, what do you suggest?

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010
Q.
I was born without my top lateral incisors and so my other teeth have moved forward to fill the gaps. I have always been rather concious of my smile because my first premolars show at the side and my canines are pointy. I also feel that my canines are moving further out (parrot-tooth I’m told?!?). I’m looking for the cheapest treatment that will give me a full, lovely smile but ideally not require metal braces. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you.,

Is it possible to fill in a small “crack” space between the front teeth with cosmetic bonding?

Thursday, June 10th, 2010
Q.
Hi Riten Is it possible to fill in a small “crack” space between the front teeth with cosmetic bonding? I’m perfectly happy with my teeth so I don’t want veneers but my front teeth don’t meet entirely all the way up and was wondering if the crack space above the contact points could be filled. Its only about a paper thin space wide but I feel it just aesthetically ruins the look of the rest of the teeth. Thanks,

Hi Dr.Patel: today for the first time i ever had my front bonded. I do feel a bit uncomfortable because it feels very rough as if it has particles of sand on my teeth. Is that feeling ok ?,
