Can dental resin cause a bad smell?

Q. i recently had a chipped tooth restored with resin. my question is, can resin cause distorted smell,
A. No – altered smell has nothing to do with your teeth or gums. however a bad smell from your mouth is usually caused by gum disease or severe tooth decay
