Can veneers make my teeth level?

My two front teeth are not level with my cupids bow and the teeth next to my front teeth are not the same size. I know I can have veneers to make them level but can veneers be used to make my front teeth level with my cupids bow or will they always be to the side of my mouth?,

please can you help..ive been a very nerves patient since i was 6 years old, when a dentist pulled a tooth out by mistake with no pain killers i screamed that much the clearner came in..since then going to the dentist has been traumatic…at the age of 16 i was chucked out of a surgery because of fear!! i was a little uncontrolable the job wasn’t even finished.I’m 32 this year with horrible teeth i wear my 3 dentures all the time which i hate. i’m confidence is very low because of my teeth. Which is making me depressed. all i would love to do is to smile without worring they are looking at my teeth.,

Can I have uncomfortable denture replaced?

Hi there, I suffer from gum recession and it is likely that I will eventually lose my teeth; due to periodontic problems. I just had two teeth out and have had a partial denture fitted on a plate. Whilst the denture looks good, the plate in the roof of my mouth feels so awful. Bulky etc. It cost me £400. When my gums heal, then is it right that I will have to have another one made? again loads more money. I hate my smile, with the gum recession and am thinking about just having the front 6 teeth out and be done with it. Any ideas?,

Will my chomping teeth damage crowns?

Most of my front teeth, top and bottom, are spaced, my two front teeth at the top are starting to wear, I do’nt grind my teeth but I do constantaly chomp, you would not know I am even doing it, as it is tiny movements, I have had a mouth guard made but I found it very uncomfortable, I have all ready asked my dentist about getting crowns fitted but am concerned about my chomping, and will my crowns last, please advise.,

What crowns would you recommend for missing teeth?

Hi Doc, I have had extensive radiation to my mouth and hence jaw for throat cancer.Prior to the radiation I had my rear teeth both top and bottom surgically removed.I now have 9 on the top and 10 on the bottom I have lost most of the strenght in my given teeth and have reconstructions done prior to have them all crowned. I have also had one root canal performed. What type of crowns would you recommend and do you think I could ask for a reduction in price for the quantity that is necessary? I should also mention that I suffer from “dry mouth” and am uable to eat as a normal person would. I am 52 years of age.,

Can I have stained cap reaplaced and treat gapped teeth?

i halfed my top front tooth when i was 10years old. the dentist built it back up but this didnt work so she eventually capped it with a porcelin cap. this was 10 years ago now and the cap is stained and looks old with a visable space between the cap and my gum. my teeth also have small gaps between them and i would like to get them sorted so i can have a nicer smile!,

Does sedation work well with anxious patients?

After surviving the horror of having roots, which had fused to my jawbone, drilled away while i was wide awake and only having had novacaine!! I now cannot face the next step of treatment needed. This being a bridge to replace missing front tooth (not very pretty to look at). Can i be sedated for bridge prep and fitting? Thank you for your time,

Is gingigel suitable with veneers to treat receding gums?

Hi Dr Caplan, I have sensitive teeth so I would like to use a de-sensitizing mouthwash, but I have two veneers and have heard that alcohol weakens the bonding cement. I am unable to find a de-sensitizing mouthwash without alcohol. Is it true that mouthwashes containing alcohol are not suitable for venners? Also, I have heard of a product called Gengigel which helps receding gums. Is this suitable for veneered teeth? Thank you.,
