Can filling or root canal be done through crown?

Q. I had a tooth crowned to facilitate a bridging. Recently I am having some pain in this particular tooth. Can you advise me if filling or root canal can be done through the porcelain crown?,
A. Yes it can.  It can be more difficult to achieve a good result and sometimes it is best to have a specialist treat the tooth.
