Firstly.. I am terrified of dentists, for a number of reasons.
Most recently I fell out of a 15ft window, landed on my face and now both front teeth are missing.
I stopped eating sweets altogether and anything else I felt could do more harm to my teeth.
Also I had a piercing in my lower lip which has made my gums recede very badly.
As you can imagine all this has put a lot of fear into me… I also suffer quite badly from dreams where all my teeth fall out.
I’m 30 years old and really do not want to put it off any longer.
The problem I have is that the plate with my now 2 front teeth on it seems to do more damage than good.
I desperately want to be able to smile but have got so used to keeping my mouth closed I never do any more.
I have extra money each month as I work 2 jobs, one of them I am in the public eye as a Dj and want to able to look my best.
I am torn as what to do.
In my opinion I need the works, gum work and veneers.
What is the best way to get this sorted. I have extra money but I’m not rich by any means.

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011My son is 19 mons. when his two frunt teeth come in inverted. I took him to the dentest she said that he needed to have filled and caps on, and that his two roots were growing into one. He was about 15 mon when we went in and put him under she told me that this was something that had to be done. She made him his own caps. He came out doing ok and well he didnt look to bad.we went back to see her about 6 month later and he said that everything was good! Well about a month or little longer his mouth was swolen he was not eating and it was causing him pain. We went back to that some doctor and she said that he has gotton some food up in his teeth/ gum and i caused it to get infected. So, today we went back to the hospitle and he filled his teeth down to the nerv and put the caps on that had that have the silver backing. When he came out he was in pain she waid that she could not get thim even. Im wondering if any of this even needed to be done if she was just wanted the money. Its so much and he is so little.If you could pleace help me and my son i dont want to have to go throu more with this Dr if i cant trust her. Ifeel like i put my child all through this and i dont even know if he needed it thank you so much for your time.

Monday, February 21st, 2011I have a problem that has baffled most of the dentists I’ve seen. My incisors are baby teeth that never fell out. Apparently the adult teeth are lying above them in the palate but are horizontal not vertical. The teeth have been filled and are badly discoloured and I have hated them for years (I am now 51). Now I think I may be in danger of losing one and am at a loss where to go for help as I was told that implants are out of the question due to the location of the adult teeth above. My last dentist suggested veneers on them but with a risk of loss I was scared to try. I have just moved to the UK (Melksham, Wilts) and don’t know where to start looking for help.

Monday, February 21st, 2011I recently had five of my back teeth on the bottom row of teeth from metal to white however the white does not really match the colour of my existing teeth and there are bits of black around the edges. I got this treatment through my dental practice and paid over £1000. My dentist has since left the practice and I requiree root treatment on one of the teeth that the filling got replaced but the colour again is not matching my existing tooth.This work was done by another dentist who joined the practice but I have not been able to establish a rapport with and I am really unhappy with the work I have had done.
