I have a twisted front tooth, would a brace correct it?
Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010Hi, my left tooth ( next to my front left tooth) is turned a full 180 degrees. My dentist says its a big job to re correct, saying he would’nt be able to crown it, therefore having to take the nerve out and going from there. I spoke to an orthodonist about it, and he said a brace would’nt improve it because of how much its turned. What would you suggest?
Thankyou.

Has my retainer been fitted correctly?
Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010 hello, Im 36 and have just had an Essix retainer fitted after wearing braces top and bottom for a year, the top Essix fit well and snug, but the bottom one has a gap inside on the front 4 teeth and doesn’t seem as snug, the dentist said, its coz they have moved a little bit since yesterday when the mold was taken, is this ok or is it poorly fitted. Please advise.

I have crooked and chipped teeth. What can be done about them?
Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010my upper left and right teeth have small chips on them and my lower teeth are also like this. Is it possible to have them filed down so they look straight. Also my canine teeth teeth stick out and I was wondering if they could be filed back or if there is any other procedure that would push them back.
Will the Inman Aligner work for my crooked teeth and underbite?
Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010Hello,
I have a question regarding Inman aligners.
I had an accident when I was younger that pushed my four front upper teeth, up into the gum and backwards. I had a brace to push these teeth forward however my teeth have been retracting over the last few years and I now have a slight overlap and crooked smile. I also have an underbite resulting in a gap of about 2 or 3mm between my top and bottom teeth.
Could an Inman aligner push my four front teeth forward to close the gap as well as straighten my teeth? Or would the underbite cause issues?
Thanks for any and all help.

Can I still get NHS treatment at 19?

I have a reverse overbit and need it corrected. Can I do it on the NHS?
Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010 I am turning 18 this summer and starting university away from home this year.
I have a reverse overbite and have previously had braces, however my teeth have relapsed from a period without retainers.
I feel my bite has changed, as I now find it difficult to close my mouth without catching my cheeks in the process and find that my speech has changed as a result.
As a prospective medical student, I feel this will damage my confidence, especially when communicating with my patients and also personally.
I have researched the proceedures available and am aware and prepared for the commitment and post-operative care.
Do you think I am a suitable candidate for corrective surgery, who would I need to talk to, how long will the treatment take and would it be available to me on the NHS?
Thankyou Very much for your time!
