Can you whiten tetracycline stains?

Q.
i had Tetracycline for tonsilitis as a child, I hate my teeth, all my family have white teeth but me & also still have my tonsils-which at my age are still irritating. Which are the best option for healthy teeth wishing they were pearly-whites like rest of my familys’. I am embarrassed @ most first meetings with people especially if they meet my sister then I feel they are asking themselves why doesn’t she have nice white teeth?
A.
In phase one you can whiten tetracyclin stains but a upper end system like Enlighten used for a longer time will be needed. The basic hue will remain (ie dark brown goes to light brown , yellow to cream etc) . and often tetracyclin stains are associated with a striped colouring which also remains albeit ligher.
If this doesn’t give you all the result that you want you can consider ultrathin veneers as well. Cast & pressed ceramics (Lumineers, Emax or Empress) are the most suitable but expect a £600- 900 cost per tooth.
IF you would like a free consultation call Michala to arrange an appointment.
