Can you implant smaller teeth?

Q. Dear Rob I am enquiring as to whether you are able to implant small teeth, around a 1/3 of the size of a normal tooth as i am looking at having a mislodged tooth taken out and one put in its place. I would appreciate any advice you may have With thanks,
A. 1/3 Height or width ? a small tooth is a problem because it may not look good when completed. It might be worth opening the space with simple orthodontics, inman aligners, clearstep or invisalign. or even closing the space with veneers that appear to widen the adjacent teeth. I prefer to simulate similar cases by trial modifications to casts or photo manipulation before deciding on the best option. StJohns Dental practice in Birmingham is 1 minute from New Street station.
