Can you have dental implants if diabetic
Q. I am diabetic, can I have dental implant treatment?
A.. You can have implants if your diabetes is well controlled. This is very important as in poorly controlled diabetics healing can be impaired. I have placed many implants on well controlled diabetics and they have been successful.

Hello, I am an insulin dependant diabetic – I would like to know if it is possible to have implants, as the bridge that I have will need to be removed due to one of the supporting teeth being broken? Many thanks.
Yes sometimes it is as long as your diabetes is stable. There are additional risks though. I’d speak to a specialist dentist who is an expert in implants for the best advice
i had a one time low dose cortisone shot for a skin condition, “winter itching” 2 weeks after periodontal surgery to place a dental implant. The dermatologist was not concerned, but I am still asking. Should I be worried about any adverse effects or would that just be a concern with prolonged use. I only researched this after the fact, but it was not clear if I should worry. There has been no abnormal pain or feeling regarding said implant.
No, as a one off treatment it won’t affect treatment. the implant should heal uneventfully.
