Can my open bite be corrected with braces?

Q. Q. hi, i had an underbite initially and the orthodontist i went to advise me that i would need oral surgery(upper jaw) as well as braces. the orthodontist gave me the option to have surgery or to have braces first to see if braces alone can resolve the problem. when i was 16 my braces came off and my teeth and bite was perfect so no need for surgery. however i am now 23 and i have a slight open-bite (0.5mm). can this be fixed with braces? my old orthodontist said no as its due to growth and i would need surgery, however another orthodontist advised me that he can fix this with invisalign. can you please advise me on what is actually true?

A. Hi

Unfortunately it is impossible for me to advice without looking at the mouth. My advice would be to seek a third specialist opinion.

Hi I am a 36 years old and I have just been told the problems I have been having in my upper teeth actually stem from my lower central teeth being outof place. Also recent x-ray pictures show that one of my lower wisdom teeth is coming out sideways because there is not enough space. I would like toknow roughly how much it would cost to work in my lower denture to make the space and make my central teeth straight. My dentist in Spain assured meI would not need to work in the upper denture since my occlusion is good and thought it would take roughly six months. A rough estimate would be greatly appreciated.
