Can i have veneers for all the teeth in the smile line free on the NHS as Im only 17 yrs old?

Q. I was told by my dentist that i needed a veneer on my front tooth as it is chiped on the surface. However someone has told me that i would need all teeth in my smile line does as the tooth which is chiped is on my smile line and this would be free on the NHS as i am only 17 years of age. Please could you confirm this for me.

A. Unless you are undergoing extensive cosmetic treatment which is not sanctioned by the NHS then you only need the one tooth treated either by a bonded white filling or porcelain veneer.

my teeth are all wonky and i hate them at school i got called lego teeth and that really did not thelp my confindence at all during school or college and i just want to smile more in pictures or just in life but i just can not, i did smoke for 5 years but i have packed in for one year and a half so i just want the teeth so if anyone can give my the perfect “SMILE” for free i will be so pleased that i can smile again and maby smile abit more wit out smileing without showing my teeth but if i did have stright teeth that would just mean the world to me. that will boost my confidance up just a little.

my child has a big gap between his upper and lower front 8 teeth, and has made him self consious at school and meeting people. he is only 8yrs old but i was wondering if he can have any form of treatment from the NHS. this will make a massive change in his life and confident if he will be able to smile like a normal happy 8years old child.

thank you

im 16 and recently had 1 veneer fitted by the NHS, i was very pleased with this and would love another one, but understandably i would have to pay between £500 and £1500 for each extra tooth i get done. NHS will probably only supply 1 veneer for free, maybe 2 in special circumstances, but very rarely would supply more than this. I think treatmet is free for any person under the age of 19 in full time education. Treat your 1st veneer like a tester trial, if you like it, and need/want more, pay for more. If you dont like it, dont get any more. simple as (:
