Can I get teeth shaved to a more aesthetically pleasing angle?

Q. Dear Dr Bohara, Perhaps you can offer me some advice? When I was 8, I knocked the tip off of one of my top front centre teeth. The other one is slightly long, but this looks even more pronounced by the chipped one next to it. Now, Im no dentist (obviously haha), but if you could get a big file and make the front 4 teeth all the same length, it’d be perfect and I’d be over the moon. Putting an angle grinder in my mouth seems a bit extreme, so I’d be interested to hear what you can suggest. Also, what would I expect to pay for this in the UK? I am in Dundee in Scotland Thank you very much indeed for any advice you can offer me! Kindest regards,
A. My advice would be to have an initial consultation to see what your options are. It is difficult to give you advice in this situation without looking at the teeth. Unfortunately if you are having cosmetic dentistry, then you would have to pay.
