can i get invisalign for free

Q. I am living in britain…am under 16…i hate braces…(metal braces) i like less visable braces…i only have 2 gaps between my teeth…the law in britain is under 16 can have free brces or whatever type…..can i get them on for free?

A. There are 5 categories for patients requiring braces. This depends on how bad the teeth are. Only the 2 worst categories can have treatment on the NHS and this would be metal braces. Invisalign is private and costs approximately £5000.

By the sounds of it you would not fit into the bracket of free treatment and would need to pay privately for braces. Invisalign will be an option for you, the other option is white tracks which do not show as much as the metal ones.
I would you to go to your dentist and ask them to refer you to an orthodontist so that you know what your options are
Kind Regards

Hi I’m from the UK and I’m 17.
One of my teeth next to my two front teeth is bent back.
I have been told by my dentist that i can’t have braces as i would be in a lot of pain and it would be difficult.
I would like the invisalign the see through brace that straightens your teeth.
Is there anyway i could get that for free as i don’t have the amount of money needed for the invisalign and really want a straight smile.
Many Thanks

I think you have to be 16 or under but I’m not sure. perhaps you should ask NHS direct or find an NHS orthodontist who will know the system

is there any way that i can get braces on the nhs, i am nearly 22 but my teeth have been messed up by previous dentists , they took to long to correct problems and some caused more problems, so by the time my teeth was in a good condition to have braces i was 16 and they wanted £2000 for me to have braces why shoould i have to pay as the dentists messed my teeth up in the first place, one dentist gave me a filling when i did not need it and also took the wrong tooth out so now i cant smile coz it looks odd as i have only one cainine at the top. is there any way to sort out my problem, i work but get a exemption certificate because i dont earn enough so do i have to pay for braces and to sort out my problem with one canine missing. xxx

I have overlapping teeth. There is approx 0.5inch between my top and bottom teeth (top overlapping bottom) and I was just wondering what would be the best course of treatment you would recommend normally. I understand that normally you would need to examine someone, but there are so many companies offering so many different types of treatments its a bit confusing. Any help/advice you could give would be appreciated. I am 25 now and very embarrased by my “bugs bunny” teeth

We find Invialign treatments work really well for lots of patients, in fact I’ve just finishes a course myself and found them very easy and discreet to wear. Have alook at http://www.advancedentalclinic.com/invisalign.phpfor lots of cases we’ve treated.

Hi. I’m a 15 year old student. I want Invisalign but I’m worried about the price. I am currently with NHS so will they cover me or is this private and i will have to pay for myself? I don’t want the traditional braces as I’ll feel really uncomfortable wearing them so I think Invisalign will be the best option for me. Can you please provide me with more information. Thank you. I’ll be looking forward to your reply 🙂

Jaydon Says :

Invisalign is not available on the NHS and is a private treatment only. Treatment costs from £1495 to £4995 depending on the type of Invisalign and the complexity of your individual case. Kind regards Mark

I had braces a few years ago and whilst on holidays the person cleaning my room disposed of my bottom retainer. Since I was away I couldn’t get to an orthodontist straight away and my teeth have shifted a little. What would be my options for getting them straightened out again? Would I need to get braces again or can a new retainer be made for me still?

October 4th, 2012 at 08:47 PM
Camren Says :

If you had Invisalign you should be able to get a retainer remade, which is called VIVERA retainer.

hi i’ve been told that you can pay for invisalign braces in installments, is that true? I am really looking into getting it for the gaps at the front of my mouth and thought it would be better for me to get something which isnt too noticeable. How would the payment plan work? Would it run out in a year and would there be any interest? Thank you

October 4th, 2012 at 08:47 PM
Tariq Says :

You can spread the cost throughout the course of your treatment. You can pay monthly by standing order or pay per visit. As long as the balance is paid off on completion of treatment. There will be no interest added onto your balance for spreading the cost of your treatment.

As far as I know, no. There is a product Invisalign Teen that is very good for teenagers and payment plans that can start from as little as £95 per month.

Hi, I wanted to get invisible braces because my teeth are in quite a bad condition, they are crooked and damaged, and they overlap, which has effected my self-confidence and I never smile or laugh. My front two teeth are quite big, too big and one tooth overlaps the other so its hard for me to smile. I know if I fix my teeth, it will change my life. I’m 19 years old and in full time education so would I be able to get them free? The only thing stopping me is the price. What are my options?

Iris Says :

You can try an NHS orthodontist but is likely you will have to pay for treatment. We do offer 0% finance for treatment so you can pay over a longer period to reduce your monthly outgoings.
