Can damaged tooth be repaired?

Q. Hi, I have a very badly damaged front tooth. On the top row, one of the teeth has a large section missing, exposing the gum. The back of the tooth is fine and healthy. An NHS dentist has seen it in the past but was not able to do anything about it. The tooth is getting weaker and it’s getting gradually harder and harder to eat even the softest foods. I know it’s my own fault but would really like to get it fixed and don’t know what options to look into. Many thanks for any help you can suggest. Kind regards,
A. If the bone support around a tooth has eroded there is often a limited number of choices often extraction is best and then replacement with bridges dentures or implants. if the tooth is well supported there are many choices. If you would like a free initial assesment at the StJohns Dental Practice in Birmingham please call Gurjit on 0121 643 0610 for details. As a private practice there are often more treatment choices available.Rob
