Can boyfriend get cosmetic treatment through NHS?

Q. Hello Dr Patel, i am writing this on behalf of my boyfriend. My boyfriend was a bar manager two years ago and he was attacked two years ago by a drunk customer who consequently broke two ribs and knocked out my boyfriends two front teeth. At the time his teeth couldnt be saved and the company he worked for promised they would pay, however they went bust and this never came to fruition. He has spent two years never smiling and is painfully self concious of his missing teeth and has knocked his self confidence. We have tried to see if we could get it done privately and were quoted £3000 pounds for the work that need to be done which is way beyond us. Is there any chance the NHS will do this for free at all? or is it considered as cosmetic surgery. I look forward to your response Thankyou Rebecca,
A. I am sorry to here about your boyfriends situation.  You maybe able to get him treated in a teaching dental university.  Find your local dental hospital and see if they will treat him.
