Basically my teeth are fine but the upper front 2 are sticking out

Q. Hi Basically my teeth are fine but the upper front 2 are sticking out a little, I’ve been to see my orthodontist and he suggested I need one extraction and a brace putting on, I want to know how much this would cost on average because I got a quote of £1500 which is steep for me 🙁 Would removable braces be cheaper?? Kind Regards.

A. The price for a fixed brace sounds about right, removable braces such as the inman aligner are usually cheaper but might not work so well if you’re having a tooth out

Please could you give me a quote for Inman aligners. My bottom 2 middle teeth are slightly unaligned. I can send a picture if this helps to get a moreacurate quote. Could you also let me know what the qoute includes and whatcosts there may be in addition to this i.e xrays and follow up appointments. Lastly could you explain once the inman aligner has worked what the procedure is to then keep the teeth in position? Do you fit an internal wire? Thanks for you time.

Hi… My query is around the Inman Aligner.. I’ve wanted to get my teeth straighted for some years, but an age old fear of the dentist and the thoughtof metal braces at my age has put me off… until now. The Inman Aligner appeals very much however due to it being so discreet and hopefully quick! I’ve no idea if I would be a candidate for it as I’m not sure if my teeth are too crooked. It would be good to have a consultation and find out. Thanksvery much

Hi, I am considering having some orthodontic work carried out to straightenmy teeth (I had a brace when I was younger but this never fuly resolved the problem). I would like to understand more about what options are available to me for the result I would like, and the likely cost / timescales involved

A few years ago I had braces in order to fix a problem with my teeth- bothmy adult lateral incisors were missing and so my canines grew in in place of them, the braces aimed to straighten the canines up and sort of re-alignthe teeth. After the braces were removed i had veneers placed on the canines in order to make them look like incisors, and the next teeth along were sharpened to make them look like canines (i hope this is making sense!). Basically, i am not happy with the result, i feel that the veneers are the wrong shape entirely and slightly the wrong shade, and the braces also left myteeth stained and slightly yellow. I feel that after having braces for nearly 3 years I deserve to be happy with my smile, which I’m not. I have spoke to my denist who said that the process to change this would be long, I would have to get my teeth whitened over time, and the veneers changed oncethis was done in order to match the new shade of my teeth. This would meanthat for a while I would have obviously yellower veneers until they were changed. I was wondering if you are able to offer a different solution, whichwould perhaps take a shorter amount of time. If you could include rough prices also that would be great. Thanks for your help and I look forward to hearing from you.

You will need to see a provider for an evaluation, I am sure you can be evaluated at no fee. Click this link to find a provider close to you http://www.straight-talks.com/cosmetic-dentistry-tools/find-inman-aligner-dentists/locator.php

hello could you please tell me if i would be able to combine the inman aligner treatment with dental implants? I have recently lost a tooth (after it was knocked out in an accident) and am booked in to have an implant to replace it. once this has settled would i be able to have the inman aligner? The implant is located at the side of my mouth and the problem is to do with my front teeth. How long after the implant and crown have been put in would it be ok to have the inman aligner if this as possible? thanks

Seth Says :

Yes.. We can also avoid using the implant to help hold the appliance so once the implant is stable the appliance can be made. Regards,

hi i have a protruding bottom jaw, which has caused me many problems over the years and has obv made me feel incredibly uncomfortable with my appearance. I have got together some money and think it is high time i got this sorted and so am researching the different braces to find the best for me. In your opinion would the inman aligner be any good for my condition or should i consider alternative braces? If this is the case would you be able to recommend a brace that is a better choice for me? thank you

Hi, I recently fell in a nightclub and suffered trauma to my lip after one of my front teeth cut through it and was pushed back. My tooth was pushed forward again, but it is not in the same place it was before and not aligned with my other teeth, I also had to have a root canal performed on the tooth and now it has begun to change colour. Will lazer whitening work on this tooth? I was also wondering if you think an Inman Aligner would be a good way to have the tooth pushed back into place again. Thanks,

Cora Says :

Inman aligner may be a possibility but will depend on certain circumstances after examining the mouth. Laser whitening would not help a discoloured tooth but other forms of whitening may.

hello I am wanting to get the inman aligner and will explain my teeth to see if i am suitable. I have two protruding fangs at the side of my mouth and a gap between my front teeth. I have been wanting treatment for years, but it is only now that I have been able to get together enough money for treatment. Do you think I will be good for the inman aligner? And if so how long do you think it would take? If i am not right for the aligner, could you recommend another brace system? thank you for your time

I can’t comment without looking at your mouth. It really depends on the complexity of the bite, amount of crowding/spacing etc. I would recommend a full consultation to explore all your options. Best wishes

I have a slight overjet I would like to fix as I can find it difficult to keep my lips closed, I have to purse them to keep them shut tight otherwise theres a gap. Im interested in trying the inman aligner, my question is how much room does there have to be between the front and bottom teeth? I have an overbite and im just worried there may not be enough room to move my top teeth back if my bottom ones, while they sit together straight tend to lean outwards towards my lips. Would this cause problems?

September 13th, 2011 at 08:47 PM
Blanca Says :

Yes…there must be enough room for your upper teeth to be tipped inward. I suggest you visit a provider for evaluation but also remember that your lower teeth can sometimes be slightly slenderized and retracted to allow your upper teeth to be tipped, we do this quite often. Regards,

Hello it may be possible but it is always hard to tell from a description. The only way to tell is to have a consultation with an Inman Aligner dentist. Normal treatment costs are from £1500- £2200

Hi My top lateral teeth are pushed forward over the front two leaving gaps due to overcrowding giving the fang look. Is Inman a quicker/suitable solution? I have been advised to have fixed braces taking 15 months however I would love to have a quicker treatment. Can inman fix my problem, how long would it take and what is the cost? Very much looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hi there, Im a teenager and I’m looking into maybe taking this approach to fixing my teeth. My bottom row are slightly overcrowded and Im pretty sure this can be fixed but its the top I’m not sure about. All my teeth at the top are straight, except for my two front ones. Its hard to explain but they have grown outwards instead of inwards. You wouldnt really notice looking at me face on but from the side you can see. Can this be fixed? Thank you

Karina Says :

This can be fixed sometimes I use a little appliance that goes on the inside of your teeth (invisible) to arrange the teeth better and then use invisalign to finish the treatment off. I would need to see you to give you the best options.

Hello please I need some advice, I never had any lateral incisors and so I have very Gappy teeth at the front of mouth. I am really conscious when I have to smile in fact I hate smiling and even going out with friends. At school people made fun of my teeth and even now some people make fun of me as an adult. My teeth at the bottom are crooked. I need to know what I can do to fix it without ruining my teeth as they are quite strong. Please help I need some help and advise

I would need to see you to advise you but I have treated a number of people with the same problems it really depends on the position of the front incisors and canines to what we can do.

I am 27 years old and have what could be termed as ‘fangs’ that make my teeth crooked, and and me shy when talking to people. Because of these fangs, the teeth beneath are discoloured and hard to clean. I do not think that braces would be enough to fix my smile, and some teeth near the top front may need to be removed as they are crowding other teeth. Is dental surgery worth the time and expense? Thank you

October 24th, 2011 at 08:47 PM
Erik Says :

You should always consider braces first before surgery, you’ll be amazed what can be done and perhaps with veneers and whitening you can achieve the look you want.

i have my two front teeth shaping outwards just like rabbit and they look bad. i don’t want to have braces , do i have an alternate as some Surgical treatment? They really spoil my smile as they can be easily seen hanging outwards. I’m 20 yrs old. I earlier got braces but after they were taken out again my teeth came outward. It’s very troublesome for me. I am ready to go under a surgery so that these teeth can be repositioned with taking much time as seen in case of braces.

hello, I have a slight problem with my teeth and just wanted it straightened. It is not sever as i never qualified for free braces while i was under 18. i am 19 now and currently in colchester. I have done some research on invisalign and i think this will be the right treatment for me. My question however was that I am visiting Nepal this June (I’m originally from there), and i was wandering whether i could get the invisalign treatment there and once i come back, get the check ups done here until it is fixed. Is that possible or would i have to do the whole process either there or here? please do get back to me. Thank you

Well, I am extremely unhappy with my smile. My two front teeth stick out, the rest of my teeth are straight it is these two front ones that however give it that “Buck Tooth” Look. They are not oversized nor long, but they do stick out! It makes me extremely insecure with myself and stops me from being the outgoing, sociable person I know I am! Please let me know what procedure I would need to fix my teeth and give me the smile I always dreamed of! I am turning 16 in June and want nothing more then to have a beautiful smile. Hi I suffer with serve over lapped/crowded bottom and top front teeth I have been advised by my orthodontist that the only solution available to me to correct this would be to remove a number of my back teeth and fit a fixed brace over a 18-24 month period I was also advised that a Invisalign brace or Veneers would not be options available to me due the severity of the overcrowding I do not wish to have a brace for this period of time What other procedures are available which would give me immediate results?
