Are there any other sedative options that don’t include needles?

Q. is there any other way of sedation other than general or use of needles,
A. IV sedation puts medicine in your arm there is a small needle at the beginning but all the severe needle phobic I treat cope very well with it. Relative analgaesia is another option (gas & air).
