Are Lumineers an alternative for Veneers to treat discolouration does the colour show

Q. I have had root canal treatment on 2 of my front teeth and has a result there has been some discolouration. Most people say thay cant tell but i am very conscious of it. I have considered Veneers but have been put off by having tooth filed down. I have recently heard about Lumineers and wondered if this was an alternative? Would colour show through? What is cost? Many thanks

A. My concern is that the discoloured underlying tooth would show through, as they are so thin. Conventional veneers may be a better option for yourself. It is not uncommon for root treated teeth to darken over time. Just aslong as you aware that the colour will probably darken even more.
