are lingual braces are best for me

Q. I have read about a number of treatments and think that lingual braces are best for me i have a large overbite and small gaps in my front teeth. My bottom teeth are straight and dont need a brace. Could you give me a rough price and do you think they are suitable to correct my overbite.

A. Hi

Unfortunately it is impossible to say if lingual braces is ideal for your circumstances. Lingual braces are usually more expensive then other form of orthodontics and can start from £4000.00.

I’m terribly self-conscious of my smile. My teeth are severely crowded on top. Did nt have my wisdom teeth pulled until i was 33 (now 35) and would like advice on best course to take to correct. My best explanation of my situation would be fangs. The canine teeth (if that is the correct definition) Stick out and the teeth between the canines and Incisors are recessed.

I would absolutely consider veneers as I would love to have an “immediate” result. If the possibility of achieving that with veneers or the cost of that were simply out of the question, I thought about lingual braces. I feel I’m too accustomed or just too vain to endure conventional braces at this stage of my life. The cases I generally see though seem to be dealing with trying to bring their together as opposed to spreading them out which I would surely need.

I had hoped to pursue a solution to this before I got married (pictures – boo) but sort of missed my window. It will happen in 7 weeks and money is for our big day and not my teeth of course.

Any advice is most appreciated.

Hello, I have a very bad overbite as my top teeth completely cover my bottom teeth. Would there be enough room for lingual braces to help with my condition? What are its capabilities with overbites?

A condition such as this requires full banding and sometimes surgery.

I am concerned about one of my brakets which came off when tightened last time. It was reglued, now the glue is between my teeth and I’m struggling to floss.
