I really don’t want a denture, are there any other alternatives?

Q. Hi, I have eight remaining front top teeth due to advanced gum disease. I inherited this from my parents, but my dental hygene is very good. I have been told that I have enough bone for 6 implants, but cannot have a bridge because of aesthetic reasons (the teeth would look too long) i was advised I can have a clip on denture with implants. I do not fancy a denture. Could you pleas advise me of any other alternatives . Regards.

A. there is a continuous range of options that fit between dentures and bridges. The thing to decide is what you dont like about dentures and design the replacement to minimise this. There are some advantages to minimal coverage implant “dentures” such as sealing the gum when eating and talking that also should be considered when deciding on what is the best balance in your case. If you would like to discuss this further the StJohns Dental practice in Birmingham is 1 minute from Birmingham’s New Street train station. We offer a free initial consultation for implant cases.
