Q. I have 4 upper front teeth, candidates for crowns or veneers. I’d prefer to leave as much tooth structure as possible, leaning me toward veneers, but conditions primarily the location of the decay, may necessitate crowns.#8 is only slightly chipped, but between the 2 front teeth, 8 and 9,there is a cavity/filling right at the gum line and a slight gap between the teeth. Because of the location the filling keeps falling out and eventually the gap becomes evident from the front. There’s also a filling on #10 almost at the gum line. Would veneers be insufficient because of these gum line-areas of decay on the back of the teeth?
A. This is very hard for me to tell without seeing you. You will need to trust your dentists judgement and go with what he recommends in this situation
