What are the orthodontic treatment options suitable for me?

Q. Im 18 and my gums are receiding and my teeth aren’t stable, they wobbly. At the moment I wear a retainer because if I take it out, I’ll have gaps between my front teeth. I don’t want to keep wearing a retainer, or have gaps. I want to be able to have a nice smile with nice teeth. But I don’t know what options I have/,
A. At the moment, you have a removable retainer. You could always consider having a fixed retainer which is a thin wire that sits on the back of the teeth, so you cannot see it. It will then stay there permanently. You need to remember that orthodontic treatment is a lifelong thing. If you fail to wear your retainer, the chances of your teeth moving back to where they started is very high. Hope this has helped.
