My 3 year old has 3 crowns and one of them is turning yellow. Should I be concerned that there is decay underneath? She doesn’t complain of any pain at all. The crowns were done at 2 years old and she had a fall in which this cap that is turning was resurfaced. Please give me some idea of what can be done, if anything, that won’t be a traumatic experience for a three year old, as she has been though a lot already. Thank you.

Should I Be Concerned That my 3 Year Old Has Decay Beneath Her Crown?
Tuesday, March 10th, 2015Is There Any Whitening Product On The Market That Can Brighten Up My Old Crowns?
Monday, March 3rd, 2014I have heard that there are whiteners for capped teeth. My caps are pretty old, about 10 years. I have seen a periodontist and asked him if I should have the caps replaced and he said no. My caps are pretty yellow and I would like to have them lightened. Is there a way to do this? I really can’t afford to have the caps replaced, maybe a few, but it bothers me to smile, but I do because that is in my nature and I like to smile. I just wish I had whiter teeth. I know a lot of women and men whiten there natural teeth but what about us who have a mouth full of crowns? Is there no whitener in the market for crowns?
My porcelain crowns have turned yellow! What can I do about this problem?
Wednesday, July 4th, 2012 Hello
I had porcelain crowns fitted approx 10 years ago, (8 on the top teeth) when they were fitted they were a nice natural cream colour (not too white) and matched my other teeth. Unfortunately in recent years they have yellowed. A couple of my friends have commented on this too. When discussed with my dentist he says it is impossible to discolour. This leaves me not knowing how to proceed as I know tooth whitening does not work on crowns? I have read it is possible to remove glaze on crowns by hygienist cleaning but I dont know if this is the case? How can I now proceed as a smile i was once happy with has gone. kind regards.
