Should I Be Concerned That my 3 Year Old Has Decay Beneath Her Crown?
Q.
My 3 year old has 3 crowns and one of them is turning yellow. Should I be concerned that there is decay underneath? She doesn’t complain of any pain at all. The crowns were done at 2 years old and she had a fall in which this cap that is turning was resurfaced. Please give me some idea of what can be done, if anything, that won’t be a traumatic experience for a three year old, as she has been though a lot already. Thank you.

Hi, thank you for getting in touch. My advice is take her to the dentist who did the treatment for advice, or a paediatric dentist who can assess the crown appearance in person. Kind regards, Mark.
