I Have A Discoloured Front Tooth Which Needs A Veneer. How Do I Choose The Right Dentist?

Monday, October 20th, 2014
Q.

Hi Mark. I have a discoloured front tooth after having root canal treatment a few years ago. Which then got darker and darker. Are there any other options apart from a veneer to cover this up or make the colour the same as my other teeth? I am considering veneers but don’t like the idea of them falling off in a few years. How do I choose the right dentist? My local dentist cost is £200 which is considerably cheaper than I have seen online which worries me. Your advice will be appreciated.

Could I Get Veneers to Change the Shape of My Teeth?

Thursday, September 4th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr Hughes. I have had braces in the past, but my front teeth relapsed slightly after the treatment had finished. I am due to turn 21 this year and I have been unhappy with my 4 top front teeth for a while. I have spent a lot of money on my braces to still be this unhappy. I think my teeth are oddly shaped and they push out from the side. I was considering veneers or something similar, would these be suitable to change the shape of my teeth? I would like some advice on what my options would be. I am not very familiar with veneers or the price range but I am willing to consider my options. Thank you in advance.

Some Of My Teeth Are Missing And Rotting Away. Do You Have Any Advice On This Matter?

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Gambroudes. I recently realised I have really poor teeth and wish to correct them. This is mainly due to my diet and genetics and I’ve fell into the mind set of having all of my teeth replaced with gold veneers as I only have twenty five left. This is because gold is solid and will not scratch easily. Some teeth are missing and others are damaged or rotting away. Do you have any advice on this matter? And can you help me!

I also wish to know how much the procedure will amount to and how it all works so I am in a comfortable frame of mind when entering this process.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Kind regards.

How Suitable Are Laminate Veneers For Someone Suffering From Bruxism?

Wednesday, July 9th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr Moore. I’d like to know some details about the veneer (laminate).
Do you know how suitable this type of veneer is for someone who grinds their teeth on a nightly basis?
I understand this type is very thin, just 0.3mm. Do you know of a more suitable veneer, or treatment for bruxism? It’s not for me but I have a friend who has this problem and they would like some information on it. Any information you could provide would indeed be helpful. Thank you very much!

Which veneers are best suited for thinning teeth problems?

Monday, September 3rd, 2012
Q.

Hello,

I am considering getting veneers. My teeth are thinning very rapidly despite of the fact that I really do take a good care of them and watch that I don’t eat too much acidic foods.
I maintain a very good oral hygiene routine too. Although my bottom teeth look good the top 4-6 not so good. So I’m not sure how many veneers minimum I should have and more importantly which ones are the best for me? I read a lot of information about the various types available, which makes me more and more confused.

There are so many types to choose from and I don’t know which would be best for me. I would appreciate your advice.
Thank you.
