Where Can I Get a Mouth Makeover?

Friday, November 4th, 2016
Q.

Hi, I’m wondering if you could point me in the right direction. I’m 28 years old and I only have front teeth. They all have fillings. I suffered as a child with gum disease and never treated it. I really regret now as my face is sunken on both sides and I only have my front teeth to chew on, I’m in need of a teeth makeover but cannot afford to do this. I paid for a private denture for top and bottom but they have taken it down as much as they can. I’ts horrible, I would like implants. I am at the end of my teather, it makes me depressed and all I would like is a full mouth of teeth so I can chew like everyone else. The ones at front with fillings are all discoloured and you can tell I have fillings in front teeth by a mile off. Please, is there anything I can do or anyone that could or would be willing to give me a mouth makeover?

How Much Would a Full Smile Makeover Cost?

Thursday, July 2nd, 2015
Q.

How much work and how much will it cost to get a full smile makeover? I’m a single parent of two with no confidence due to really bad teeth, it has now effected my face shape due to having no back top teeth. All my bottom teeth are crooked and there are too many. My front tooth is pushed forward due to the next tooth pushing it out and I have half a tooth filled badly with a composite filling as the tooth is decayed.

What Are The Payment Options for a Smile Makeover?

Friday, February 20th, 2015
Q.

Hi. I would like to know payment options to get a smile makeover. I absolutely hate my teeth. They are crooked, stained and decaying. I’m only 22 years old and it is really affecting my social life and my relationships. I have no confidence in myself and feel very self conscious. It would be a dream come true for me to get my teeth fixed. As a mother of 3 I could not afford to pay a lump sum. Is there any other payment options I could consider? Please help me out! Thanks.

I Want A Smile Makeover But I’m Confused On Which Specific Treatment To Get. Is There Any Advice You Can Give Me?

Wednesday, October 15th, 2014
Q.

Hi Mark, I have been wanting a smile makeover for a while now and I am a bit confused on what to get.
I have been told most of my teeth are okay except the four front ones where I have two crowns at the top and I need two veneers at the bottom.
I hate the colour and the size of my teeth, and most are slightly worn down the further back they go.
My ideal would be to have all the teeth removed and replaced with implants or something along those lines. Is this possible even when most of my teeth are supposedly fine? Is there any advice you can give me? Thanks.

My Old Bridge Fell Off After Root Canal Work. Should I Get A Different Bridge, Like My Dentist Recommends?

Wednesday, February 5th, 2014
Q.

My 20+ year old bridge has fallen off, 2 months after having a root canal work done through the bridge into one of the supporting teeth. The other supporting tooth is now damaged. I would like to have another bridge rather than a denture, but the gap is now three teeth wide, rather than the one it was before. The two teeth either side are sound. The gap is upper front 1 left, and 1/2 right. My dentist says that a different bridge might work – one that is glued to the back of the supporting teeth, but he says that this often fails – is this right?

I Dislike The Shape Of My Teeth And I Would Like A Smile Makeover. Is Their Any Way To Achieve This At An Affordable Price?

Monday, December 2nd, 2013
Q.

Hi Dr Shaffie. I hope you can help me with some good advice. I am 21 years old and really dislike my teeth, my front tooth seems to be slightly further behind my other front teeth and they are not well shaped.

I don’t want veneers due to the costing – What other options are available please? I would consider cosmetic bonding but again don’t really know the costing. Please could you advise me?

I want a smile makeover without the steep cost and without my teeth being filed down.

Thanks.

My Personal Problems Meant That I Neglected My Teeth, How Do I Get Them Fixed?

Monday, March 25th, 2013
Q.

Hello doctor, I need some advice as I have been in a severely depressed state of mind and have just been referred back to my GP from the community mental health team. This was an ongoing situation over the last three years +
During this time and before, My teeth were neglected due to my state of mind. Just on the top row I only have 3 good / whole teeth and the rest are either missing or badly broken. My back molars top and bottom were extracted in hospital when I was 7 or 8.
To this day I dont know why.
I am too ashamed to go to a dentist and am wondering – should I go to hospital or see my own GP first. I am just starting to pick up the pieces in life and now have my heart set on being a new person and being able to smile.
I live in Kingston upon Thames, London. I am 42 and allergic to aspirin and penicillin – Just for reference.
I am eligible for NHS as I am on DLA & ESA and currently not working.
I have suffered from PERICARDITIS for about 6 years now as it is a re-occurring symptom. I am currently on simvastatins for cholestoral. Other medication includes amitryptaline, isosorbide mononitrate, co-dydramol, sertraline, zopiclone (taken rarely). Just to give an insight of my medical history. Hope to hear from you shortly.

Yours Gratefully.

I lost my front tooth but the root is still intact, would the root have to be removed so I can receive a dental implant?

Monday, September 10th, 2012
Q.

Hi

I have recently lost my front tooth, the root is still intact, I was wondering if I would have to remove the root to get a dental implant fitted, or is there a technique where you can use the root as a base.

Also, I would like to know about a smile remake over, I would like my other tooth contoured and the front few teeth looked at. What is the latest in contouring and imaging on teeth to get the best results
