I was all set to get Invisalign paid for by my father, but my usual dentist has put him and me off. Can you advise?

Monday, November 29th, 2010
Q.

I am 21 and never had braces when i was younger. I am regretting it now! I did some research and heard about invisalign so went to see a my local consultant and he said it was suitable for me. My father had agreed to pay for me to have the treatment as it quite expensive until he asked my usual dentist about it and he completely put him off. He said he didnt trust it. I am trying to convince my father otherwise but am starting to have doubts myself. I was wondering if you could give me some advice and your opinion on invisalign? thanks.

What can I do to correct teeth that have begun to cross over as my wisdom teeth come through?

Friday, November 26th, 2010
Q.

I had a brace when i was younger to straighten my teeth, since one of my wisdom tooth has come through its pushed my front teeth forward and now they are beginning to cross over at the front, its not major, but im worried if my second tooth comes through it will become worse, what would be the best thing i could do to correct this, and make my teeth straight again.

How can I get stains removed from my teeth once my braces are taken off?

Friday, November 26th, 2010
Q.

Hi i’ve had my braces for about 3 years now and i know that i’m going to have stains when i get them off i’m trippin cause i’m scared i don’t want to have to walk around with stain squares on my teeth so is there anyway i can totally remove the stains that doesn’t cost to much money and isn’t a long processes. Whats the quickest, easiest, cheapiest way to remove stains from braces i guess is what i’m asking and to remove them like quick in one session like few hrs or something just so the next day their gone too.

Can I have discreet clear braces on my bottom teeth?

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010
Q.

I’m 23 years old and I’m having braces fitted in a few weeks. I discussed with my orthodontist about having Radiance brackets. I though these would be on the upper and lower teeth but I’ve just found out that they can’t do them on the lower, why is this? Can anything be done to make the metal brackets on the lower teeth look less noticeable? Wont it look silly having clear on the top and metal on the bottom.

Can I have my underbite corrected with an NHS dentist?

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010
Q.

hello I’m 32 yr old, and I have a really bad under-bite, I’m know as the Girl with out teeth, or the woman who never smiles, Because my mother was a single mother of three kids, she couldn’t afford to take me to the dentist.. I will be getting married soon and I would like to be able to smile walking down the isle.. I’ve looked in to cosmetic surgery, and I can’t afford to pay for it, so my question to you is what should I do, is there any way i can do to be able to smile..
